Change of Scenery

Sakura was sitting at a table in the dining room of a huge estate, watching out of the large window at the opposite side of the table. She gazed at the snowcovered mountains in the distance, a scenery like in a travel brochure.

How did this happen? Yesterday she was an enforcer of the RJD, and now... now she was here on Jachanu IX, deep inside Kingdom space.

Her eyes wandered over the room, examining the furniture, the paintings on the wall... when did it start? How did she end up here?

She tries to remember. It all started six months ago, as she was reading her mission reports... or to be more precise, the list of prisoners from a slavehunter-vessel brought up by the Fleet near the border...

As soon as she read that name, she knew she had to see the person behind it. This offered a chance of personal revenge she was looking for ever since her liberation. She needed to turn in a lot of favours to have the prisoner transfered into her custody, but after a few days she managed to have her on board of her ship.

She watched the Amarrian woman over the camera feed. Although her robes have been torn at several places she still paced around, arrogant like the Empress herself, demanding to be released at once. It wasn't difficult to let her disappear during an interrogation during the following days faking a malfunction of an airlock, faking her death like they have faked Sakura's, having her locked up in a sealed container, chained to one of the walls. FINALLY she could take revenge at a member of the family who tormented her for six years, destroying the lives of not only herself, but her family as well.

The pleasure Sakura felt from torturing that Amarrian bitch, turning her life into the very same kind of hell that almost every slave of her family had to endure... it was both satisfying and terrifying at the same time. She wanted to take it a step further, but she knew that wasn't possible if she wanted to keep her a secret or if she wanted to preserve everything she has built up during the last year. But she didn't reckoned on that Khanid holder... that Ithiria Deritan...

to be continued...
